The greenfield site is accessed via Homestead Lane on the eastern side of Valebridge Road, on the eastern edge of Burgess Hill. The large majority of the site falls within the Lewes District.

The southern edge of the mid section of the site will feature a small Local Area of Play. And there is a woodland walk through the ancient woodland along the eastern side of the site.

For Thakeham, Stuart Fullwood, business development director said: “We are especially pleased to be working for Raven Housing Trust on this development. This is the first time we’ve worked with Raven and we hope to partner with them on other opportunities. The Rosery represents a wonderful example of a development that integrates with the surrounding areas. It will provide much-needed affordable homes whilst the woodland walk and Local Area of Play complement the countryside location.”

For Raven Housing Trust, Alison Bennett, Development Director said: “The Rosery in Burgess Hill represents the best of the Raven vision for placemaking. We have worked hard to understand, inspire and make a long term commitment to the local community. And the partnership with a contractor that shares those values like Thakeham is helping us to provide new affordable homes of which Burgess Hill can be proud.”
