Modernising a Popular Eastbourne Venue

Thakeham Client is delighted to be appointed by Eastbourne Borough Council on a design and build basis for the modernisation of popular lakeside café, Princes Park Café, Eastbourne. Works commenced on 18th January to be completed in just 20 weeks, ensuring visitors will only have to wait a short time for their new facilities.
Malcolm Ward, Eastbourne Borough Council comments:“We are delighted to work again with Thakeham Client. This is a tight project in terms of timing however, we have confidence in Thakeham’s ability to deliver a fabulous new facility for local residents over the course of the next few weeks.”
Regeneration & Modernisation
The refurbishment of this popular local café, situated right on the lake, is part of the larger regeneration of the area generally. The existing building requires modernisation and current plans will ensure a facility that local residents can enjoy for years to come.

Thakeham Client are already involved in the regeneration of Eastbourne and in the last 12 months have delivered 23 houses and flats at the old Coventry Court site in Seaside Road and 8 houses at Longstone Road. These developments were built for the Housing and Economic Development Partnership who deliver neighbourhood level regeneration on behalf of Eastbourne Borough Council and Eastbourne Homes Limited. Both sites were completed 3 months ahead of programme.
