New Car Park at Myrtle Lane for Billingshurst

Providing for the Community

Thakeham was delighted to be able to provide a new car park for Billingshurst when developing 12 new houses at Myrtle Lane, Billingshurst.

Parbrook Walk, Billingshurst is a small, attractive development, adjacent to the train station and Billingshurst Park, and a short walk from the village centre. A very desirable and successful development, all 12 new homes were snapped up quickly and are now occupied.

In Demand

Just minutes from Billingshurst train station, Myrtle Lane Pay and Display car park meets a demand from residents and commuters. It has space for 33 cars, is available 24 hours and is perfect for commuters parking from Monday to Friday or for those travelling at the weekend when parking is free from 5pm Saturday and all day Sunday.

Commenting on the new car park, Cabinet Member for the Local Economy Cllr Gordon Lindsay said: “New housing has increased the demand for parking spaces near the station and this will reduce parking in residential roads near the station.”

Julian Rooney, Thakeham adds “We recognise the impact even a small number of houses can have on a community and we are delighted to have worked with Horsham Council to deliver the car park which we are sure will be well used by commuters in the local area.”

Customers can buy season tickets for £150 a quarter or £600 a year. For day commuters there is a pay and display machine with a day charge of £3.50.
