Festival fun for all the family!
Fast cars, thrilling entertainment, family fun and fascinating attractions could only mean the return of Goodwood’s Festival of Speed… and what a great success it was.
We were proud to sponsor the family area of this year’s Festival of Speed. Situated right on the start line, with attractions for children and adults alike, the Thakeham stand was a must-see of the event!
Our first year sponsoring the family area saw the arrival of three diggers for the extremely popular Thakeham Treasure Hunt, the fun and clever game Pit Stop Pipe Drop and the hugely successful Big Cat Build. Mini builders, suited and booted in Thakeham hi vis and hard hats, tried their hands at digging for the golden brick, building a brick wall and conquering the gutter maze at Pit Stop Pipe Drop.
Beautiful weather, impressive crowds and the friendly Thakeham team meant the area welcomed guests from early ’til late. Families and friends all had a go on our wacky activities and even won some furry friends for their efforts!
Special mentions go to NJS Brickwork and Scaffolding as well as Briar Mechanical Services for supplying their fantastic teams and their wonderful support throughout; the extended Thakeham family!
Unforgettable start line action
There was plenty more entertainment on offer, including face painting, a ball pit and creche, Formula Thakeham Tot Car Racing, meeting characters from the Wacky Races and viewing the start line action from the Family Grandstand.
The whole area buzzed with excitement and paired with the thrill of the start line, this prominent position at the festival was non-stop racing fun from start to finish.
Goodwood and Thakeham have enjoyed a wonderful relationship over the years, with quality, heritage, legacy and teamwork running through the heart of what we do. This year’s successful Family Area is testament to that relationship and to the fantastic teamwork involved.
A huge thank you to our partners, friends and families that joined us over the course of the event and to everyone that made such a success possible.
See you all next year!
