Hyde appoints us to build 250 new homes in Yapton
Affordable housing provider Hyde Group has appointed Thakeham Partnerships to build 250 sustainable new homes in Yapton. The contract is valued at over £50 million.

Affordable housing provider Hyde Group has appointed south east community creator Thakeham Partnerships to build 250 new homes in Yapton. The build contract is valued at over £50 million.
The greenfield site, owned by Hyde Group, lies on Bilsham Road on the south western edge of Yapton which is, in turn, three miles north east of Bognor Regis.
The 250 new homes include 217 houses and 33 flats. 92 homes will be available for social rent whilst the remaining 152 will be offered for shared ownership.
With sustainability in mind, the homes will use timber frame construction throughout. All the homes will achieve the highest Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) A rating. There will be extensive electrical vehicle charging across the site and the homes will include hydrogen-ready boilers across the whole development.

Work is scheduled to begin on site imminently and take place over four phases with completion early in 2025.
