2022 Overview

What’s Next? 2022 responds to the urgent need for local authorities, planners, placemakers and housebuilders to come together and deliver a clear response to the challenges we face.

The event featured five renowned industry speakers.

  • Robert Boughton, CEO, Thakeham Group
  • Robert Colvile, Director of the CPS and Editor-in-Chief of CapX
  • Stewart Baseley, Executive Chairman, HBF
  • John Richards, Chairman of Brickability
  • Lucian Cook, Head of Residential Research at Savills.

Each speaker was challenged to inspire the audience to share unique insights and offer a clearer vision of the future of sustainable placemaking.

Robert Boughton, Thakeham’s CEO, Said:

We are grateful to everyone who took part in the ‘What’s Next?’ conference and helped contribute to another successful event.

This was the first major home building event since the Autumn Statement. There are always variables in business. As a company we remain hopeful that we can retain momentum and the skills agenda through the work we have booked and our balanced portfolio but it’s clear as an industry there is much uncertainty.
