Encouraging careers in housebuilding
Working together, Thakeham and the Royal Alexandra and Albert School (RAAS) in Reigate, Surrey, explored the “world of work” with Year 10 through interactive workshops and physical activity. Experts from Thakeham shared valuable insights into their own areas of expertise including CV writing, interview questions and skills, design and engineering in housebuilding, advertising and marketing and finally, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Inspiring future generations
For us, supporting local schools and colleges is incredibly important. We understand how daunting it can be, leaving education and moving into a professional enviroment. We can share valuable insight into the opportunities available in construction and housebuilding – to inspire future generations to look to these sectors for long-lasting and satisfying careers. We want to give the power of knowledge to students, to help them understand the depth of opportunity there is, within our sector.
I enjoyed the Marketing and Design workshops as it is something I am interested in for the future. I wish we had time to do more!
