Assisted Move makes your house move as smooth as possible. Our team will guide you through the process of selling your current home and give you peace of mind.

We will be in regular contact with both you and your estate agent. We want you to enjoy your experience with us and are on hand to answer any questions you may have during the process.

How it works: 

1. Choose your dream new home.

2. Speak to your estate agent and agree an achievable price.

3. Reserve your home with a holding deposit.

4. We will take your chosen new home off the market for a period of 6 weeks.

5. Once you've agreed a sale on your existing property, we will finalise your reservation.

6. When you complete the sale of your old home, we will pay your agents’ fees*.

7. Enjoy your new chapter in your new home.

Part exchange could provide you with a quick, stress-free, guaranteed property sale.

1. You provide us with basic information such as property location, size and condition. We pass this information onto Property PX Group.

2. Property PX Group will work with independent local estate agents to value your property and provide a formal part exchange offer.*

3. If you are happy with the offer, Property PX Group will agree a completion date and manage the sale of your property. Meanwhile we manage the purchase of your new home with us.

Deposit Unlock is a housebuilder owned insurance scheme, with insurance provided by Gallagher Re. It's backed by the Home Builder's Federation and its members. It offers competitively priced mortgages for low deposit new build homes.

The scheme protects the lender from potential loss in the event of a default in payment. You only need to put down a 5% deposit and can buy a property up to £833,250* with no restrictions on location, subject to lender’s approval. Deposit Unlock is available with participating bank lenders. (E.g. Nationwide and Newcastle Building Society**.)

1. You view and reserve your chosen property***.

2. We reserve your home and issues a Loan Confirmation letter.

3. You pass a letter to your mortgage broker or straight to your lender.

4. Lender records Unique ID and offers you a mortgage under Deposit Unlock.

5. You own 100% of your new home.

Upon completion of buying your new home we pay a percentage of the sale price into an insurance policy.

Own New Rate Reducer allows you to buy a new build home with a lower interest rate mortgage. It’s a regular mortgage, only with lower monthly payments for the initial period. These rates are only for new build homes.

1. Find your dream new build home and make a reservation.

2. We will generate and send you and your mortgage broker an Own New Letter of Acknowledgment.

3. Exchange with a valid mortgage offer and deposit.

4. Wait for the build of your new home to be complete.

5. Own 100% of your new home.

If you're a current Thakeham homeowner and know someone who’s looking for a new home, you could receive a referral reward when they reserve and complete on a selected Thakeham property.

What you need to do

To qualify:

• Complete the Recommend a Friend application form in full.

• Scan or photograph the completed form.

• Email it to the Sales team at your friend’s preferred development before they make a reservation.

Only one application can be submitted per home purchase.

Eligibility

• The Referrer must be an existing Thakeham homeowner.

• The Referred Friend must be a new customer who is not already registered with Thakeham.

• The incentive is available on selected homes at selected developments and is subject to purchasing criteria and terms and conditions.

Your reward

Once your friend legally completes their purchase:

• You and your friend will receive £1000 John Lewis voucher 

Please note: If your friend does not proceed with the purchase, the incentive will expire and no payment will be made.

We’re delighted to offer our Recommend a Friend incentive, available on selected homes at participating developments. This offer is subject to eligibility criteria and applicable terms and conditions.

To qualify for the referral reward, the Referrer must be a current Thakeham homeowner, and the Referred Friend must be a new customer who has not previously registered with Thakeham.

To apply, the Referrer must complete the Recommend a Friend form in full and submit it - either scanned or photographed - via email to the Sales team at the Referred Friend’s chosen development before the reservation is made.

The referral reward will be processed following legal completion of your friend’s purchase.
