The results for this year’s Best Companies have been released, and we feature in the National, Sector and Regional lists.

We finished in the top 10 of the Housing sector list, positioning number eight. Meanwhile, we placed at number 55 in the national Best Large Companies to Work for and at number 32 in the Regional ranking. These results mean we can officially call ourselves an outstanding company to work for in 2024.

There are several factors behind our success in this year’s Best Companies survey, including 95% of our staff believing that they can make a valuable contribution to our success. Our cross-department working group, which meets every quarter to discuss ideas, share thoughts and provide suggestions that are fed back to senior leadership so that actions can be implemented, was highlighted specifically.

Additionally, 86% of our team are of the opinion that our business is run on strong values and principles. The fact that our Executive team uses a range of channels to regularly share information and encourage feedback from employees was praised, including the use of unscripted video messages to offer authenticity in communication. Our weekly staff newsletter Connect was also acknowledged.

When it comes to wellbeing, 69% of staff are happy with their work-life balance. Our commitments to fund all employees to attend a regular health screening, train Mental Health First Aiders and Champions, and provide access to an in-house counsellor at no cost to staff were all highlighted as positive wellbeing initiatives.

Commenting on our accomplishments in this year’s Best Companies lists, our HR Director Liane Richardson said: “We are pleased to once again appear on several Best Companies lists for 2024. Recognition such as this shows that our workforce is motivated and engaged, which is vital to business success. Placing on these rankings also means that our staff value us as an employer and, crucially, feel valued by the company in return, which is what our leadership strives for.”
