Artwork commission for Woodgate apartments
Nurturing the talent of our staff is incredibly important to us at Thakeham and we are always on the lookout for ways in which we can support our employees. At Woodgate, our flagship development in Pease Pottage, we have commissioned Group Marketing Manager Georgie Dawson to create a series of bespoke art pieces for the communal spaces of one of our apartment buildings.
A talented and enthusiastic artist, Georgie studied art at college and university. She joined us as a graduate four years ago and her creativity was an immediate asset to the team. From day one at Thakeham, her passion for interiors was clear and she’s been creating art pieces for her family and friends’ homes for some time. Pippa Bugby, Development Marketing and Product Director at Thakeham explains: “I have always been so impressed by Georgie’s flair and dedication to her hobby. When it came to dressing the new apartment building at Woodgate, I knew this was the perfect place to show off her talent and support her art!”
Georgie’s speciality is acrylic on canvas. She takes inspiration from colours and shapes in the natural environment and translates them into bespoke, abstract pieces. Working both freely and with colours chosen by her clients, Georgie’s pieces aim to add mood and atmosphere to any interior.
Georgie Dawson, Group Marketing Manager at Thakeham comments: “The whole Thakeham team has been incredibly supportive of my second career! I’m really grateful for the opportunity to showcase my work at Thakeham’s beautiful flagship site and for all the support in getting to this stage.’’
