We appoint our first Chief Investment Officer
Regional housebuilder Thakeham has appointed Alastair Skinner as its first chief investment officer.
In the newly created role, Skinner will support the executive and management teams to deliver growth and support business transformation. The position has been created to supervise and guide Thakeham’s housing and pipeline strategy.
His role will also oversee decision-making on asset allocation and risk management.
The appointment comes after Skinner served as managing director of Hargreaves Group for eight years, overseeing its transition from founderrun to executive management. At Hargreaves Group, Skinner was the first non-family member to hold the position of managing director.
Rob Boughton, chief executive at Thakeham, said: “We are excited to welcome Alastair to our executive team as a new set of hands to support Thakeham during an important time for the business.
“This role will assist our strategic vision to delivering a number of projects that we believe will set the benchmark for sustainable development.”
Skinner added: “The quality and calibre of the team, the ambition and the commitment to communities and sustainability stand out and I am very much looking forward to supporting the shareholders, executive and business.”
