Festival of Speed tickets for Mission Motorsport
Thakeham gifts 480 tickets to Mission Motorsport for Goodwood Festival of Speed.
Thakeham are thrilled to sponsor The Family Area at Goodwood Festival of Speed 2021. We were the proud sponsor of the Family Area in 2018 and 2019 and are delighted to be back this year. We’re a business that understands the importance of family and shared experiences and deeply value our time with motorsport fans and their families; creating a day to remember.
An important partnership
Mission Motorsport is the forces motorsport charity, whose motto is “Race Retrain Recover”. Beginning in March 2012, the charity helps those affected by military engagement through motorsports. The charity recognised from the outset the astonishing inspirational and healing potential of the sport. Since 2014, the charity have placed over 2000 veterans and more than 200 Wounded, Injured and Sick service leavers into employment through their programs.
A day to remember
We are delighted to partner with Mission Motorsport again. Our ticket donation is our way to share some fun at Goodwood Festival of Speed with Mission Motorsport, the free tickets have meant in recent years that 300 beneficiaries have had a memorable day out with their family on us.
Adam Marchant-Wincott, CEO of Mission Motorsport, said: “It is a potentially life changing experience for some people because we will use this opportunity to help continue to motivate them, to take them on, and hopefully for those who need it put them into employment opportunities later down the line. It really has a much more significant impact than just coming to Festival of Speed for the day.”

Rob Boughton, CEO of Thakeham, said: “The opportunity to give something back is really important. As the family sponsors of the family area to be able to give Mission Motorsport and their families the time to come here and have a good look round and get them on that ladder. We are so proud to be involved and have the chance to do it.”
