NHBC award site manager wins regional accolade

NHBC Pride in the Job Awards

We are proud to announce our colleague, Dan Di Bella has been recognised by the NHBC as one of the top site managers in the UK.

As a quality award winner of NHBC’s Pride in the Job award, all site managers have been judged meticulously throughout the past year on his ability to lead, plan and deliver high-quality homes consistently. Out of a scope of over 8,000 only 443 site managers were handpicked for the award, allowing room for only the top 5% to achieve this award.

This is no small feat and with Woodgate delivering over 600 new homes, it brings us joy Dan was able to achieve this on one of our biggest developments.

Dan achieving a regional award is well deserved and we thank him and the Woodgate team for their hard work and dedication to bringing first-rate developments to fruition.

Dan Di Bella, Thakeham site manager, said:

It’s great to get recognition from the NHBC for all the amazing work done over the past year for our Woodgate development. This has very much been a team effort and wouldn’t be possible without everyone on site delivering high spirit, quality and dedication on a day-to-day basis.

We are proud of everything we have achieved so far and look forward to seeing a new community flourish over the coming years.

Pride in the Job is the most highly regarded competition in the construction industry and the most prestigious benchmark for exceptional site managers. NHBC’s goal is too share their core purpose of raising standards in house building, inspiring site managers and their teams to go the extra mile and go past old limits.

NHBC’s judging process started in July last year to ensuring there was enough time to judge sites rigorously across six key areas: consistency, attention to detail, leadership, interpretation of drawings and specifications, technical expertise and healthy and safety.

All Quality award winners will be put forward for the Seal of Excellence and Regional Awards in the Autumn. The finale of the competition – The national Supreme Award winners – will be revealed for January 2023.

Commenting on the Awards, NHBC Chief Executive Steve Wood said:

For more than 40 years, Pride in the Job has been been an important part of our work and help drive construction quality. Winning site managers tell us that it inspires them to give a little extra and strive harder for ever-higher standards in housebuilding.

Congratulations to all the pride in the Job 2022 Quality Award winners. They are an inspiration to us all and should be very proud of the quality of new homes they are creating.
