Leading regional housebuilder Thakeham this month announces the appointment of Peter Andrew MBE to the Thakeham Board as a non-executive director. In this role Peter will provide commercial advice and oversight on corporate decision-making and governance, working closely with key executives and fellow board members.

During his distinguished 40-year career in construction and housebuilding, Peter has held senior roles at a number of leading developers, including the board of Taylor Wimpey. He also held the post of deputy chairman of the Home Building Federation and was one of four practitioners tasked with writing the National Planning Policy Framework for England.

He currently serves as Chairman at The Corserv Group of Companies, Dorchester Group, Twindig and Amare Estates, and is a non-executive director at Fibre Ltd. As a mark of the impact that Peter has had on housebuilding, development and regeneration, he was awarded an MBE for ‘Services to Construction’ in 2018.

Thakeham, a leading housebuilder in the south of England, delivers top quality developments firmly rooted in community values, pledging that every Thakeham home it builds from 2025 will be net zero carbon. Employing almost 250 members of staff and over 1,000 contractors daily across its sites, it brings quality homes, infrastructure and amenities together to help people and planet thrive.
