Supporting local causes that improve wellbeing

Our charity partners challenge issues of loneliness and promote healthy living in enhanced natural environments.

Building vibrant local communities

We work alongside Plunkett UK to establish new community run facilities at the heart of our developments. Owned and run by the community, for the community.

Whether its a shop, pub or even a woodland, Plunkett provide residents with the tools and opportunity to serve their community. It’s a proven way of creating a beating heart within new developments.

Together, we are creating communities that will thrive for generations.

Building future generations

We partner with SATRO to provide Construction BTEC programs to secondary schools. This combines practical workshops with skills and knowledge training to achieve a level 1 qualification.

Beyond our donation, we also work with SATRO to provide mentors and work placement opportunities on our developments.

At a primary school level, our colleagues volunteer with Chapter One to provide 1:1 online reading. The pairs enjoy stories and activities each week, which helps transform each child’s reading confidence and ability.

WORKING WITH SCHOOLS

Building a stronger industry

We partner with the Lighthouse Clubs – the construction industry charity, to promote mental wellbeing on our developments. Their Help Inside the Hard Hat campaign aims to raise awareness of mental health issues in the construction industry.

As an Armed Forces Covenant gold signatory, we work closely with Building Heroes to support service leavers as they transition into civilian life. We’re helping veterans and reservists find their career in construction.

WORKING WITH THE ARMED FORCES

Building sustainable places

We are proud to work with leading nature recovery organisations to achieve our sustainability goals. We partner with Plantlife to create biodiverse communities rich in wild plants and fungi.

As official sustainability partner of England Netball, we’re helping players and all involved in the sport to become more environmentally aware.

WORKING WITH NATURE

Supporting causes close to our hearts

Our team receive two paid volunteering days each year to support one of our charity partners, or a cause that is close to them.

We match fund their personal fundraising efforts.

Meet Johnny, Parisa and Jo, just some of our amazing team who take time out of their week to help improve literacy of young learners. We’re creating amazing places to live and helping children reach their full potential through our work with Chapter One!

40% of 11-year-olds from disadvantaged backgrounds in England struggle with reading, so our efforts are crucial. Investing in literacy paves the way for future industry leaders, building a brighter tomorrow.

Housebuilder challenge

Our team takes part in the annual Housebuilder Challenge in support of the Youth Adventure Trust. The charity helps vulnerable 11–16-year-olds by giving them the support and skills to build confidence.

Together, the team climbed the three highest peaks in the Lake District over a 22 mile distance, raising over £7,000.

Dragon boat race

Our Lions joins other teams at Tilgate Park, Crawley to raise money for St Catherine’s Hospice.

St Catherine’s new hospice HQ, café and activity hub is located on our Woodgate community at Pease Pottage.
