60 affordable homes completed in Ash, Guildford

Thakeham are proud to mark the recent completion of 60 new affordable homes in Ash, Guildford, built in partnership with leading housing association, Sovereign. 

Representatives from both Thakeham and Sovereign were joined by the Mayor of Guildford, Councillor Dennis Booth, alongside his Consort, Mrs Mary Booth, and fellow councillors to celebrate the delivery of these new homes for the local community. 

Guests were welcomed to the event before enjoying a tour of the development and seeing first-hand the high-quality product that Thakeham has delivered. With a holistic approach in mind, the scheme was characterised by attention to detail to ensure wellbeing of the future community was priority from start to finish

Tristan Robinson, Head of External Affairs at Thakeham, said:

The Ribbon cutting ceremony by The Mayor served as the final milestone in the development and the creation of a flourishing new community which not only provides affordable housing but also, a home for the future generations to come.

Grange Road, Ash 

Work on this scheme began in early 2021, taking a little over a year to complete, bringing much needed affordable housing to the local area. 

Homes consist of a mix of one and two-bed flats, as well as two, three and four-bed houses. This includes 28 new homes for affordable rent and 32 for shared ownership.
