PARTNER: Hyde Group

Plots: 250

Value: £51.75M

Status: Contracted

Thakeham Partnerships have been appointed by affordable housing provider Hyde Group to build 250 new homes in Yapton, a contract valued at over £50 million.

The greenfield site, owned by Hyde Group, lies on the south western edge of Yapton. The 250 new homes include 217 houses and 33 flats, offering a mix of social rent and shared ownership properties.

With sustainability in mind, the homes will use timber frame construction throughout, and will achieve the highest Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) A rating. There will be extensive electrical vehicle charging across the site and the homes will include hydrogen-ready boilers.

Work is scheduled to begin on site imminently and take place over four phases with completion early in 2025.

Thakeham is proud to be creating this sustainable community of affordable homes for local people in Arun District. Yapton is a perfect location. With Hyde Group, we are working alongside a partner who shares our core values

on sustainability, biodiversity and community creation. We can’t wait to get started.”
