The Thakeham Partnerships Team were appointed by social housing provider Stonewater to build 50 affordable new homes in Loxwood, West Sussex.
Chichester District Council approved the plans for Pond Copse Lane in August 2020. Preparatory work on site began in April 2021 with groundworks and the demolition of an existing property.
This high quality development will feature a mixture of 1, 2, 3 and 4-bedroom homes, all to be provided as affordable housing. The homes will be available as a mix of rented and intermediate tenures.
Properties will feature energy efficient heating systems, with infra-red heating fitted in the flats and air-source heat pumps in the houses, reducing carbon dioxide emissions by 37%.
“The agreement with Stonewater in Loxwood is a massive boost for our Southern Home Counties region. The deal combines several elements including land sale and overseeing the planning agreement.”
“This outcome reflects Thakeham Group’s ability to understand and meet the needs of our partners; including our agility and flexibility to respond to their unique residential market needs.”
