Top 100 most influential Women in Construction
The Top Most Influential Women in Construction award is an event that aimed to showcase women in the sector. These nominations help shine a light on female and non-binary role models to make them more visible and accessible through their actions and support of others.
All women on this list come from a wide range of backgrounds and professional experiences, some are experienced business owners, engineers, architects and project managers. However, they all share a common passion for building a better future.
Once the list of nominations was compiled, a group of independent judges looked at the women’s achievements, potential, leadership skills and the influence of each nominee, to decide on the shortlist.
Legacy Towards an inclusive construction industry
As one of the 100 influencers, NFB (National Federation of Builders) has invited Christine to join the ‘Top 100 Legacy Programme’. A great opportunity to represent Thakeham as an organization that embodies diversity, inclusion, and equality.
The programme offers 4 different categories: NFB Mentoring, Pathway Support, NFB Top 100 Virtual Networks and Master Classes.
Each programme is tailor-made to help train and support Christine by receiving mentoring from experienced professionals, a choice of networking events, and providing qualifications through online training.
National Federation of Builders
The national federation of Builders is a trade organization that represents the interests of the Construction Industry in the United Kingdom. The NFB advocates on behalf of its members, which includes builders, contractors, plasterers, bricklayers, and other tradespeople involved in the construction industry.
NFB works to ensure that its members receive fair pay and working conditions and have access to the necessary training to keep up with the fast-paced industry. This includes a wide range of initiatives to support its members and the construction industry as a whole.
This could include providing business advice and support, running training courses, and hosting conferences and events. It also works to raise the profile of the industry in the media and with the public.
