We’re proud to have retained our number 1 spot for Construction & Engineering’s Best Company to Work For in the UK. All the businesses placed in the Best Companies lists are acknowledged by staff as enlightened places to work – recognising highly motivated employees and inspirational leadership. Thakeham was also placed 15th in the ‘Best Large Companies to Work For in the UK’, and 5th in the ‘Best Companies to Work For in the South-East’, having been placed 11th and 4th respectively for Q1. With a number of new entries for Q2, it’s a great achievement to have retained our standings in the top 25 for national standings and top 5 in the regional standings.

Third year in succession

2022 marks our third year running that Thakeham has been recognised in Best Companies competition, but this year is the first for us to list within the large company category.

As part of the virtual award ceremony in Q1 earlier this year, Rob Boughton, CEO of Thakeham Group, joined television presenter Dan Walker, sharing the secrets behind a business that values employees and leads its sector on The Environment and Sustainability. Joining in the interview were leading figures from across industry – Phil Steele, CEO of Octopus Energy, Thomas Ball, Head of Advocacy for WWF, Simon Melin, CEO of The Modern Milkman, and Joe Buzzard, SEO Content Director from Rocket Mill.
